JAZZTEERS:  Volunteers; willing, happy, music loving

individuals; possess a keen interest in supporting the music festival programs of the city of Atlanta.

The City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs Music Festival Program produces the Atlanta Jazz Festival, The Montreux Music Festival Atlanta and the Soulful Sounds of the Summer Concert Series.  Each of these events provided the citizens and visitors to Atlanta an international cultural experience through music.  The mission of these programs is to promote rich and diverse cultural experiences in the City of Atlanta while preserving and protecting the city's cultural heritage.

Program Information:

The OCA Music Festival Jazzteer Program runs from March to September each year.

In return for your participation as a Jazzteer, you will receive a groovy volunteer tee-shirt, a chance to experience the best music in the nation, an invitation to the festival volunteer party, and an opportunity to meet other music fans.

  1. ALL Jazzteers, whether new or returning, must submit a a completed waiver form EACH year.
  2. You must be able to work a minimum of two (2) four to six hour shifts during festival weeks.
  3. Minimum age to volunteer for the Festival is 16. Should you have special concerns, please contact the Jazzteer Coordinator.
  4. Jazzteers will be assigned to specific crews and times by the Jazzteer Coordinator.
  5. Every Jazzteer must attend an orientation session.

Be aware of your own time limitations. We want your choice about volunteering to be the right one for you. If you are unable to fulfill your commitment, please contact the Jazzteer Coordinator immediately.

  3. Arrive on time and stay until scheduled to leave or released.
  4. Wear your Jazzteer Shirt while on duty.
  5. Use of Alcohol and Controlled or Illegal Substances are prohibited prior to and while on duty.

Failure to comply with above requirements may result in revocation of Jazzteer opportunity.

Flex Power:
