Youth Jazz Band Competition

The Atlanta Jazz Festival, in partnership with Spelman College and Jazz 91.9 WCLK, presents the 8th Annual Youth Jazz Band Competition.  This jazz education program was created to showcase young jazz talent of more than 400 youth from middle and high schools throughout the metro Atlanta area.  It also provides a medium for young enthusiasts to pursue and broaden their educational knowledge and understanding of jazz music.

Competition Application & Guidelines

All band participants will be provided with lunch and receive gift bags. The top three schools will win a cash donation to their music program and a performance spot on stage at the 31st Atlanta Jazz Festival, Memorial Day Weekend May 24  -  26, 2008.
